Step by step to university

Your path to studying in Germany.

From the first consultation, through the recognition of your certificates, to passing the Feststellungsprüfung – we guide you every step of the way.

In 6 steps

How your path works

1 · Consultation

In a free initial meeting we clarify your study goal, your prior knowledge and the documents you need.

2 · Recognition

We check your school qualification in the ANABIN database and support the application to the Düsseldorf district government.

3 · German & preparatory course

You reach language level B2 – the requirement for admission to a specialised course.

4 · Specialised course

In the M, T or W course we prepare you academically for the Feststellungsprüfung.

5 · Feststellungsprüfung

Once you pass the FSP, you gain access to degree programmes at German universities.

6 · Study place

We support you with your university application – mindful of numerus clausus and deadlines.

Recognition

Will your certificates be recognised?

To study in Germany you need a recognised higher education entrance qualification (e.g. equivalent to the German Abitur). Whether your qualification is recognised directly depends on your country of origin and school type.

The official ANABIN database shows how your qualification is assessed in Germany. If direct recognition is not possible, attending a Studienkolleg and then taking the Feststellungsprüfung is the standard route.

You submit the recognition application to the Düsseldorf district government (Bezirksregierung). We help you classify your documents and plan the next steps.

What you bring

  • School/university certificates (translated & certified)
  • Passport / proof of identity
  • Proof of your German skills (if available)
